The MGA has launched its own mobile app which is available for free download to all MGA Member Golfers who currently hold an active MGA/USGA GHIN Handicap Index with an MGA Member Club.
The MGA Home mobile app — available for both Android and Apple devices at the App Store — allows you to manage your handicap information from the convenience of your smartphone. CLICK HERE for a helpful list of FAQs to help you learn more about this new MGA Member Service

Q. Who is eligible to use the MGA Home Mobile App?
A. The MGA Home mobile app is available for free download to all MGA Member Golfers who currently hold an active MGA/USGA GHIN Handicap Index with an MGA Member Club. If you are currently inactive in the GHIN system or do not have a GHIN #, you will not be able to log into the program.
If you would like to become an active member, please contact your home club or any club in your area and ask them to activate you for the new season. Once you are active in the GHIN system, you will be able log into and use the Mobile App. CLICK HERE to find out more about how to become a member of the MGA.
Q. How do I log in?
A. The login process for MGA Home is identical to how you log into your My MGA Home page online at mgalinks.org. You will first be asked to input your GHIN # or your current email address. You will then need to input your password. Once you go through the login process one time on your smartphone or other mobile device, you will not have to repeat the process unless you manually log out of the program or delete and reinstall the mobile app on your device.

Q. How can I find my GHIN #?
A. If you have not logged into the MGA Home mobile app before, you will need to contact your club or the MGA directly to find your GHIN #. That information
is not publicly available in order to protect each member’s privacy. However, once you have logged into MGA Home, you will never again have a problem finding your GHIN #. Click on “Player Home” and your GHIN # will be displayed at the top of the page. Your individual memberships (e.g. where you have an active GHIN membership) will also be displayed on that page).
If you are looking for your friend's index, you can now do that on your mobile device. Click on "Peer Review" and quickly look up the index of any golfer in the MGA system.
Q. Can I download the app on my iPad?
A. You can download the MGA Home mobile app on your iPad. When you search for an app in the App Store on your iPad, it automatically shows just iPad applications. Look at the top of the App Store page and click on "iPhone Apps" — you will then see the MGA Home mobile app.
Q. Is my home club listed under "Clubs"?
A. Yes! The "Clubs" section contains a list of all MGA Member Clubs. Included in each listing are the following: club phone number, web site address, email (if available), address (that is synced with Google Maps) and a list of tee sets.
Q. When is my handicap information updated? After I post a score?
A. When you post a score online, those scores are accepted by the GHIN system. When you go to view your Handicap Information, be sure to click on the "Recent Scores" tab in order to view those scores.
The first tab - called "Revision Scores" - is updated only on the 1st and 15th of each month. Scores posted between revision dates will appear following the next subsequent revision. Your handicap index will also only change on the revision dates listed on the 2013 GHIN Revision Calendar.
Q. Can I register for events on my phone?
A. Due to mobile app restrictions, the MGA is not able to accept and process registrations on a mobile device. You will still need to register for MGA Championships and Member Days via your My MGA Home page. Once you register for events online, however, those registrations will appear on your MGA Home under "Events". This way, you can now check on the status of your current registrations without having to find a computer.
Q. Can I print out my handicap label from my phone?
A. While there is not a direct print function for the Handicap Label, you can take a screenshot of your Handicap Label (or any other page for that matter) on your mobile device. That screenshot can then be distributed via your phone using your email or texting program.
For iPhone or iTouch Users:
To take a screenshot with your iPhone or iPod Touch, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button, then press the Home button. Your screen flashes and the picture appears in your Camera Roll.
For Android Users (versions 4.0 and higher only)
Just press the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time, hold them for a second, and your phone will take a screenshot. It'll show up in your Gallery app.
Q. When I post a score, will it automatically be posted?
A. The MGA Home mobile app is dynamically synced with the GHIN program. Similar to how you would post a score online, your data is automatically published to the GHIN site. You also have the ability to post multiple scores. If you post a score in error, you will need to contact your home club. All scores must be addressed and edited at the club level.
Q. How do I share this mobile app with my golf friends?
A. It's simple. Click on "Contact" and then click on the "Tell a Friend" option to let your friends and playing partners know that they can access their handicap information on their mobile device.
Q, How do I update my contact information and subscriptions?
A. To manage your personal data, you will need to log into the My MGA Home web page. Once there, you can update your contact information (email, mailing address, etc), change your password and manage your subscriptions to the MGA e-revisions, MassGolfer magazine, etc.
