Communication & Education
In an industry where change is commonplace, the MGA attempts to keep its member clubs and the individual golfers up to date on the happenings around the state. Here are just a few ways the MGA communicates with its member golfers.

MGALinks.org:
In 2000, the MGA first launched a web site with the goal of keeping its members updated on its Championship schedule and general golf news. Since that time, the MGA has continually redesigned its official site - www.MGAlinks.org - in order to keep up with technical advances.

With its latest redesign in 2004, www.MGAlinks.org is one of the most interactive and advanced golf association web sites in the country. The site now features online registration and a real-time scoring program for its Championship events. During the 2005 Massachusetts Amateur Championship, the site enjoyed 4,793,864 total "hits" with an average number of 958,772 hits per day.

MGA NewsLink:
The electronic age has certainly arrived as more and more people are looking to receive information in a faster, more efficient manner. As a way to deliver the most up-to-date and relevant information directly to your email inbox, the MGA launched "MGA Newslink", an opt-in email distribution service. Periodically during the golf season, subscribers will receive email updates from the MGA. This service has proven to be helpful especially for those who keep a close eye on championship entry close dates.
