July Newsletter... Welcome Summer!

Well, school is finally over and the warm weather has settled in here at MGA Links. With the summer season already in full swing, we have a few things to let you know about for the month of July here at the course.

Saturday morning clinics for this month will be held on July 9 & 16.

We have a special Powerbilt Golf Demo Day scheduled for Saturday July 16. This will be a chance for anyone interested in trying out some new clubs - especially juniors - to hit Powerbilt Golf's clubs that we stock here in the shop. As a special for that day, we will give anyone purchasing a new set of clubs a 15% discount if you purchase them on Saturday, July 16. The Demo Day will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The First Tee of Massachusetts program will start up this Monday, July 11 and will continue for the next six weeks. Most sessions are full, and we are looking forward to getting the program started next week. Please note that 9 holes on the course will be closed for The First Tee of Massachusetts program. We will, however, have the other 9 holes open for play.

We will host our third Parent Child Tournament of the season on Saturday, July 30. The cost for the event is $30 for one parent and one child team. Sign up as a twosome or a foursome no later than Thursday, July 28. To sign up please email me at pwalsh@mgalinks.org or call the pro shop at 508-222-0555.

Just a reminder to Save the Dates for two (2) outings hosted by our junior members to benefit local and national charities. These events are always a success and we hope - through your support - we can help these kids make a donation that will make all of us proud. Details for these events will be emailed and posted as soon as they are finalized.

• Saturday, August 27 - "American Diabetes Foundation Outing". Hosted by Max Cantin
  

Course Closure Alert... the course will be closed - because of the Parent Child Tournament - on Saturday, July 30 from 12:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
