Before the long weekend arrives, we want to make you aware of a very special event that will be coming to MGA Links.

On Saturday, August 14, our own Cora Bernier and Elizabeth LaVerghetta will be hosting the "Tee Off for The Cupboard of Kindness” Tournament.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the local Norton food pantry, The Cupboard of Kindness. As you can imagine, it has become increasingly difficult for local food pantries to keep its shelves filled and this is a great way to help out the local community and enjoy a fun round of golf.

• Date - Saturday, August 14 @ 1:00 p.m. (shot-gun start)
• Site - MGA Links at Mamantapett (Norton)
• Cost - Individual ($35); 4-Person Team ($120)

• Format - 18-hole scramble comprised of a four-man team of your choosing (individual golfers will be assigned to a team)
• Sponsorship Opportunities - If a business donation of $50 is made, an advertisement sign will be placed on the tee box of their choosing.
• Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. There will also be a raffle and silent auction.
• Lunch will be provided after the tournament for all participants

During the event, Cora and Elizabeth will be on hand to collect non-perishable food items. Here is a list of what is most needed: baked beans, canned tomatoes, pasta sauce (jars), peanut butter, tuna cans, canned fruit and vegetables, cereal, coffee & tea, gift cards to local grocery stores, etc.
