Club Services: Tournament Management (TM) Program

Beginning with the 2017 season, the MGA and USGA will be collaborating with Golf Genius. In the near future, you will receive information on how you can learn more about the Tournament Management Program, attend training sessions and begin using the new program in time for the start of next season.

Here is more information about this new product.

The Tournament Management (TM) program, powered by Golf Genius technology, will provide clubs with all of the tools needed to set up and run member events, leagues and outings. It will substantially reduce the workload in the golf shop and provide high-quality printed materials including fully customizable scorecards, cart signs, bag tags, locker labels, tee sheets, alpha lists, etc.

Golf Genius was selected by the USGA due to the proven quality of the product, its acceptance among numerous clubs, the scalability of the Golf Genius cloud solution, and the Golf Genius commitment to providing outstanding service to our Member Clubs.

Some key facts about this announcement that impact our Member Clubs are as follows:

1) Two new products will be offered to all MGA Member Clubs.

Tournament Management will be functionally equivalent to TPP and will be included as part of the MGA Member Services program. There is no additional cost for this service.

Tournament Management PREMIUM, will be functionally equivalent to the current Golf Genius product and available as an upgrade for a set annual fee. The Premium product includes additional capabilities to improve the golfer experience via the GGS mobile app, live scoring, online registration and payments, and a customizable website for each event, league or outing.

2) Existing Golf Genius customers will be able to continue to use the product without disruption and will benefit from the MGA's pricing structure.

3) The MGA staff will offer several regional training sessions for clubs on the new Tournament Management Program from January to March.

We are excited about this new development, and look forward to working with all of our Member Clubs to ensure a seamless transition.
