Honoring the best senior player in the state, this event is open to all amateur players who are 55 years of age or older. A competitive handicap index is established each year as competitors vie for this special title over a two-day period. To date, John Nies, Jr. stands as the only individual who holds both a Junior (1947) and Senior (1994) title.
Entries are open to amateur golfers who hold membership in an MGA member club, who have reached their 55th birthday by September 27, 2011 and have an up-to-date MGA/USGA GHIN Handicap Index not exceeding 8.0 (as determined by the August 1, 2011 Handicap Revision) or have completed their handicap certification as defined on the Entry Form. Sectional Qualifying field will be determined based on lowest handicap index.
