Headline: Connecticut Holds Lead Following Day 1 of 2007 New England Junior Championship
Hamden, CT – Using solid play from all seven players on the team, Connecticut overcame a first-round tie with Massachusetts to firmly take the lead after two rounds in the New England Junior Invitational Championship, currently being conducted at the New Haven Country Club in Hamden, CT.
Led by Bernie D'Amato's two-round total of even par 142, Connecticut never used a score over 74 in their scoring for two rounds.
The format for the championship is the best five of seven scores for each of three rounds.
All six New England states are being represented by their top seven junior golfers.
