Headline: U.S. Open Local Qualifying Tee Times Released; Qualifying to Be Held at Pinehills GC & Crumpin-Fox Club

Norton, MA – The MGA released starting times and pairings for local qualifying rounds that will be held as a prelude to the 107th playing of the U.S. Open Championship.

The 18-hole local qualifying rounds will be held on two days at two sites:

May 9 - Pinehills Golf Club (Plymouth, MA)
May 14 - Crumpin-Fox Club (Bernardston, MA)

Local qualifying will be held at 109 sites across the country. From the more than 8,500 golfers making the attempt at local qualifying, approximately 550 advance to sectional qualifying. Sectional qualifying will be held on June 4-5, 2007. The U.S. Open Championship will be played from June 11-17 at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, PA.

The MGA annually conducts qualifying rounds for the major USGA Championships, including the U.S. Open, Senior Open, Amateur, Junior Amateur, Senior Amateur, Mid-Amateur and the Amateur Public Links.
