Headline: 2007 Massachusetts Four-Ball Championship Starting Times & Pairings Now Available
Norton, MA – A signal that the golf season is upon us, the MGA released starting times and pairings for the 2007 playing of the Massachusetts Four-Ball Championship, the first event on its Championship schedule.
Starting times for both rounds of play are now available for the 200 participating teams. For the first time in three years, this two-person team championship will make a return to Central Massachusetts as Mount Pleasant Country Club and Shaker Hills Golf Club will serve as co-hosts on May 7-8.
All competitors will compete in 36 holes at Four-Ball Stroke Play on that Monday and Tuesday.
And while the State Four-Ball competitors dust off their clubs in anticipation of the year’s first event, all competitors should be reminded that the entry close date for the Massachusetts Open Championship is set for Thursday, April 26.
Amateur and professional competitors alike have less than two weeks to register for what should be another historic playing of the Massachusetts Open Championship, which is scheduled for June 18-20 at Kernwood Country Club. The Massachusetts Open Championship is the only event on the MGA Championship's schedule that is open to both amateur and professional golfers.
Interested competitors who hold an up-to-date MGA/USGA GHIN handicap index not exceeding 2.4 should register as soon as possible.
Qualifying for this event is scheduled as follows:
May 22: Maplegate CC (Bellingham)
May 24: Salem CC (Salem)
May 29: Wahconah CC (Dalton)
May 30: Black Rock CC (Hingham); Foxborough CC (Foxborough CC)
May 31: Ballymeade CC (North Falmouth)
