Headline: New Enhancements, Changes Made to Online Registration for 2007 Championship Season
Norton, MA – Don't let the cold weather fool you! The 2007 golf season is just around the corner.
As a result, the MGA is encouraging interested competitors to register now for all 2007 Championships events as qualifying sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Just one month after launching online registration, the MGA notes that several qualifying sites are already nearing capacity.
In addition to the impressive list of host and qualifying sites – including Concord Country Club, Kernwood Country Club, Salem Country Club, Vesper Country Club, Cohasset Golf Club, Andover Country Club, Oakley Country Club and Vineyard Golf Club to name just a few – the MGA has enhanced its online registration system to make it even easier for competitors to register for their favorite events and monitor their applications throughout the season.
Here is a brief summary of just a few of the enhancements the MGA has made this off season:
24/7 Event Monitoring: Competitors can now check on the status of their entries at anytime throughout the season. By logging into the system using your GHIN number and password, you are able to see what events you have registered for as well as those you are eligible to compete in based on your most updated USGA/GHIN handicap index. You can also update your personal info rmation, including mailing address, email address and home club affiliation and also change your password.
Exemption Lists: In order to make it easier for those players who may or may not remember if they are exempt for a Championship event, we have posted complete exemption lists on each main championship page.
Regional Events Calendar: In addition to the printable PDF Regional Events Calendar that we provide each year, we have introduced an HTML version which includes direct links and/or contact info rmation for each listed event. This will help interested competitors reach the appropriate tournament sponsors or organizers.
Future Sites Page: If you have not yet visited the Future Sites page, we encourage you to do so as we have listed all confirmed future championship sites through 2009 for MGA, NEGA and USGA events. We will continue to update these pages throughout the season.
The 2007 MGA Championship season is scheduled to kick off with the Massachusetts Four-Ball Championship on May 7-8 at Mount Pleasant Country Club and Shaker Hills Golf Club.
