Headline: Massachusetts Amateur Championship Schedule of Events Revised

Worcester, MA – Due to the inclement weather and the suspension of play on Monday, here is an updated schedule of events for the 98th playing of the Massachusetts Amateur Championship:

Wednesday, July 12, 2006
- Second Round, 18 Holes Stroke Play
(All players who were unable to finish their second round on Tuesday will resume play at 6:30 a.m. Following the conclusion of the second round, the low 32 scorers will continue on to Match Play Competition. In the event of a tie, a sudden-death playoff will be used to determine the final Match Play participants.)

* Competitor Note... the tentative start to the playoff is 8:30 a.m.

First Day of Match Play
- Round of 32 Matches Begin Immediately Upon the Conclusion of the Second Round of Play

* Competitor Note... the tentative start to the Round of 32 Matches is 9:30 a.m.

Second Day of Match Play
- Round of 16 Matches (Morning)
- Quarterfinal Matches (Afternoon)

Friday, July 14, 2006
Third Day of Match Play
- Semifinal Matches (Morning)

Saturday, July 15, 2006 *
Fourth Day of Match Play
- 36-Hole Final Match

* Due to the generosity of Worcester Country Club, the 36-hole final match is tentatively scheduled for Saturday. The schedule may be altered in the event of further inclement weather.
