Norton, MA – The annual Play Golf America Day is just around the corner. The golfing public is invited to join more than 30 New England area golf professionals and the leading golf manufacturers at Granite Links Golf Course on Saturday, June 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Highlights from the day include free golf instruction and clinics for players of all ages and skill levels as well as equipment testing. From avid golfers to newcomers to the game, this event will provide a fun-filled atmosphere that combines instruction, product testing, skills contests and great golf giveaways.
Attendees will be able to test drivers on the range, wedges at the chipping area and putters on the practice green. Representatives from each participating manufacturer - including PING, MacGREGOR, COBRA, NIKE - will also be on hand to provide club fitting and product insight.
Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to gather information on some of today's most exciting golf participation programs that are part of the Play Golf America initiative, including The First Tee of Massachusetts, First Swing, Link Up 2 Golf, PGA Free Lesson Month (May) and the Executive Women's Golf Association, among others.
The Play Golf America Day event will also feature PGA Trade-In Network. This is a structured system where golfers can trade in golf clubs for credit towards the purchase of new equipment from the Granite Links GC golf shop.

About Play Golf America
The Play Golf America campaign is a complete package of growth-of-the-game programs targeting the adult population of various segments, including families, couples, women, and business professionals. Led by The PGA of America, this industry initiative is supported by the National Golf Course Owners Association, PGA TOUR, LPGA, USGA and GOLF 20/20.
Begun in January 2004, Play Golf America's goal is to reach the millions of non-golfers who have expressed a desire to play, and the millions of occasional golfers who play between one and seven times per year. The campaign is designed to introduce people to the game of golf, enhance their skills and increase their frequency of play. In support of the campaign, The PGA of America has developed an industry-sponsored web site, www.playgolfamerica.com, which serves as a link for consumers to access adult player development programs in their local markets that are of most interest to them.
