Headline: Volunteers Needed for 2006 U.S. Women's Open Championship at Newport Country Club
Norton, MA – If you have ever wondered what it's like to work "inside the ropes" at a major golf event, this is your chance. The organizing committee and the USGA staff is actively seeking volunteers to work at this year's U.S. Women's Open in Newport, RI from June 26 thru July 2.
Interested volunteers would have the opportunity to work in the areas overseeing such departments as transportation and merchandising, among others. Volunteers would be asked for a commitment of a few days for a few hours each of those days, must be 18 years or older and pay a volunteer fee of $95. This volunteer fee includes two golf shirts, hat or visor, a credential to enter the course all seven days of the Championship. Volunteers also receive meals before or after their shift and preferred parking.
