Headline: Former Massachusetts Open Champion Dana Quigley Named Champions Tour Player of the Year

Norton, MA – Following another outstanding performance on the Champions Tour, Rhode Island native and three-time Massachusetts Open Champion Dana Quigley was named the Player of the Year by his fellow competitors on the Champions Tour.

The 58-year-old Quigley, who was victorious at the Massachusetts Open in 1982-84, enjoyed a career year in 2005 on the Champions Tour as he racked up two victories, five runner-up efforts and a Champions Tour best $2,170,258 in earnings. He earned 15 Top-10 finishes in 27 starts and finished second in the Charles Schwab Cup race, donating his $500,000 prize to charity.

Quigley, like Tiger Woods who was named Player of the Year by his PGA Tour competitors, will receive the Arnold Palmer Award.
