Headline: Massachusetts Jumps Out to Lead at 72nd Tri-State Matches at Ellington Ridge Country Club

Ellingwood, CT– The following is a summary of the Tri-State Matches format and schedule of events. Following the first round of play, the team from Massachusetts holds a lead over Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Team Standings Following Round 1:
1) Massachusetts - 21.5
2) Connecticut - 12.5
3) Rhode Island - 11

The 72nd Tri-State Matches contested at Ellington Ridge Country Club between Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Par 72: 7057 Yards.

Foursomes (Alternate Shot) Match Play format today. Total of 9 points available per match. One Point each for Front, Back and 18-hole.

Thirty points are up for grabs tomorrow in the 10 Singles matches to be contested. Beginning at 8:30 AM.

Team Massachusetts is the defending champion with their win at Carnegie Abbey, RI in 2004.
