Pocasset, MA – Two golfers have earned the right to compete at the U.S. Senior Open Championship, which will be held on July 28-31 at NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio, as a result of their performance at today’s qualifying round at Pocasset Golf Club.

Leading the charge with a medalist score of 5-under par 67 was Skip Guss (Southboro, MA). Guss posted a spectacular 3-under par 33 on the front nine and did not tap the brakes down the stretch as he finished off his final nine holes at a 2-under par 34 clip.

Claiming the second and final qualifying spot was Rick Karbowski (Worcester, MA), who registered a 1-under par 69. Karbowski and Guss were the only two players in the field to break even par on the day.
