Headline: Stephen Kuhn Is Medalist at Massachusetts Amateur Qualifying at Indian Ridge CC

Andover, MA – Stephen Kuhn (Plymouth CC) finished with a score of even par 72 to capture medalist honors at Massachusetts Amateur qualifying which was held today at Indian Ridge Country Club in Andover.

Kuhn was one of 17 qualifiers who advanced this afternoon. Championship Proper for the 97 th playing of the State Amateur will be held on July 11-15 at Essex County Club.

Just one stroke back of Kuhn at 1-over par 73 was Bradford Tufts (Tedesco CC), who edged third-place finisher Colin Ahern (Indian Ridge CC) by one stroke.

Other notable qualifiers included 2001 Massachusetts Public Links Champion Eric McPhail (New Sandy Burr CC) and Nicholas Stevens (CC of Billerica), who advanced to the first round of match play at last year’s Massachusetts Amateur Championship.

A seventh and final day of qualifying will be held on Thursday, June 16 at Maplegate Country Club and Whitinsville Golf Club.
