Headline: Parajeckas Cruises to Medalist Honors at State Amateur Championship Qualifying

Boxford, MA – Jason Parajeckas (Woburn CC) played spectacular golf this afternoon as he cruised to medalist honors at Day 4 of Massachusetts Amateur Championship qualifying, which was held at Far Corner Golf Course in Boxford.

Championship Proper for the 97th playing of the State Amateur will be held on July 11-15 at Essex County Club.

Parajeckas made the turn at 1-under par 35 and then turned on the heat down the stretch to post a blistering 3-under par 33 on the back nine and a final score of 4-under par 68. Finishing four strokes back of Parajeckas at even par 72 were a trio of players: Jason Michaud (Andover CC), Domenic Petruzzelli (Thomson CC) and Colby Wollitz (Amesbury G & CC). A total of 14 qualifiers advanced from this site.

Additional qualifying rounds will be held on June 13, 15 and16 at the following sites: June 13 – Wampatuck CC; June 15 – Indian Ridge CC; June 16 – Maplegate CC, Whitinsville GC.
