Headline: Final USGA/GHIN Transmission Date Scheduled for Tuesday, October 26th
Norton, MA – The cool weather of October is ushering in the final day of posting for the 2004 USGA/GHIN Handicap season.
Golfers should take note that as of Tuesday, October 26 no scores can be posted as our state will be officially in its "off season".
No rounds played in Massachusetts during the off season may be counted towards your handicap index. Any rounds played in an area that is in season (i.e. Florida) may be posted as a guest score at a GHIN club in that region or saved until the season opens in Massachusetts. The only exception to that rule occurs if a golfer holds membership at a GHIN-using club in those out-of-state locales. In that case, golfers are allowed to post their scores at that club.
