"1999 promises to be one of the most exciting in the 96-year history of the MGA," according to MGA Executive Director, Tom Landry. "We expect that more golfers than ever before will attempt to qualify for and participate in our 10 different MGA Championships this year."
The MGA has scheduled Championships in every part of the state so that golfers throughout Massachusetts will be encouraged to participate. Landry believes that "MGA Championships are among some of the most historic and prestigious in the United States. Some of Golf’s biggest names have played and won here."
Participation in any one of the 1999 MGA Championships is open to any qualified member of an MGA member club. For information on getting an official MGA Handicap, or for more information on the 1999 Championship schedule, visit the MGA web site at www.mgalinks.org or any MGA member club.
