Headline: Nine Competitors Advance to 2017 Massachusetts Open Championship Following an 18-Hole Qualifier at Taconic Golf Club

Sterling's Thomas Henderson was one of nine competitors who advanced to the 2017 MGA Open Championship at a qualifier held at Taconic GC on May 23.

Williamstown, MA — In the second to last qualifier for this year’s 2017 Massachusetts Open Championship, held at Taconic Golf Club, nine more players learned they’d be packing their bags for Falmouth next month after making the cut for the Championship Proper being hosted at The Golf Club at Sacconnesset. This year’s Championship will be held from June 12-14.

The nine qualifiers carded scores ranging from 3-under par 68 to 2-over par 73 while seven players who shot a 3-over par 74 are listed as alternates and will be placed on a priority list per the Alternate Policy, which can be found on the MGA Policies and Procedures Page.

The final Massachusetts Open Championship qualifier will be held on Wednesday, May 24 at Eastward Ho! in Chatham, Mass. The top 15 qualifiers and ties will advance to play in the Massachusetts Open Championship.
