Headline: MGA Member Club Representatives Come Together for 2010 MGA Professional-President Tournament at LeBaron Hills Country Club

Lakeville, MA — Under sunny and very warm skies in Lakeville, a field of golf professionals and presidents from MGA Member Clubs came together to take part in the 2010 MGA Professional-President Tournament at LeBaron Hills Country Club.
Capturing top honors in the Gross Division was the team from Thorny Lea Golf Club — Peter Norton and Dan McCabe — and the host club duo of Rob Bradley and Dennis Lyons. The two teams posted scores of 2-under par 70.
Both of those MGA Member Clubs have graciously opened their doors in 2010 to MGA Championships. While LeBaron Hills Country Club played host to today's event, Thorny Lea Golf Club welcomed the region's top senior competitors last month in what was an exciting U.S. Senior Open qualifier.
In the Net Division, Chip Johnson and Leo Litzinger of Hatherly Country Club shared the top spot with Mickey Folan and John Flaherty of Ponkapoag Golf Course with final scores of 4-under par 68. Finishing in third place in that division was Michael Zaranek and Tim Van Epps from Crumpin-Fox Club.
An annual tournament sponsored by the MGA, this invitational features a selected drive, alternate shot format and has proven to be one of the most successful and enjoyable events for all involved. Not only does this tournament allow the MGA Member Clubs officials meet the MGA staff, it also promotes a healthy competition among the various clubs.
