Headline: Coming to the Bay State ... Members of the USGA Staff to Host a Half-Day USGA Handicap Seminar at Pleasant Valley Country Club on April 1

Norton, MA — The MGA and the USGA will be partnering this spring to offer club personnel and officials the opportunity to take part in a half-day USGA Handicap Seminar at Pleasant Valley Country Club.

Members of the USGA staff will be traveling to the Bay State on Thursday, April 1 to host this half-day seminar on the USGA Handicap System™. Helpful hints for golfers, golf clubs, and Handicap Committees will be the focus during a series of half-day seminars in an effort to educate golfers on the USGA Handicap System™.

In addition, there will be discussions and solutions to common situations that take place within a golf club, and a review of the important role that the Handicap Committee plays within a golf club. At the end of the session, an open-book quiz will be administered. All attendees will be mailed a certificate recognizing their accomplishment.

Members of the golfing public who have an interest in the USGA Handicap System™ are also welcome to attend.

2010 USGA HANDICAP SEMINAR
Thursday, April 1, 2010
Pleasant Valley Country Club (Sutton, MA)
8:30 a.m.
12:30 p.m. (including lunch)

WHO
The program is open to club personnel and officials including golf professionals, club managers, superintendents, presidents, owners, handicap chairs and greens chairs. Club board members and interested members and staff are also welcome to attend.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
8:30 a.m. — Registration
9:00 a.m. — 12:30 p.m. – Seminar
12:30 p.m. — Working Lunch

REGISTRATION
Attendees must register seven (7) days prior to the date identified for each seminar. No walk-ins will be accepted. The cost of the seminar is $40 and includes lunch and materials. Space is limited and will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis, so please register as soon as possible.
