Plymouth Country Club is private member-owned country club, celebrating its 100th Anniversary in 2010. Its shining star is an 18-hole championship course designed by famed Scottish architect Donald Ross. In Plymouth, one will find an 18 hole, par 69, championship golf course designed by the renowned Scottish architect Donald Ross in 1920, who returned again in 1929 to apply his finishing touches. The course sits on 200 rolling acres overlooking Cape Cod bay and scenic Plymouth harbor.
The opening holes are challenging but Ross designed the first three to be comparatively simple and non-punishing. However, four through nine are among the most challenging in the area, and our backside was designed for a tournament finish, giving the edge to the golfer making skillful approach shots.
Plymouth Country Club is a member of the USGA, MGA and Donald Ross Society and undergoing a major restoration to restore the course back to the original Donald Ross Design. In 2004, the facility hosted the Massachusetts Father & Son Championship.
